On the night of March 31, dawn on April 1, 2019, Power Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 (PCC1) and Power Transmission Company No. 3 and BIM Investor successfully energized the 220kV switchyard of the BIM solar power plant.
The contract has a total value of more than VND 300 billion performed by PCC1 in partnership with PECC2, in which PCC1 works accounted for 80% of the bidding package.
This is the EPC project “Building BIM station 200MA, 01 switchyard 220kV, and 220kV transmission line” belonging to the BIM solar power plant project, one of the first solar power plant projects of Vietnam to match the grid 220kV national electricity system, PCC1 cooperated with foreign investors.
BIM Ninh Thuan Substation was started in September 2018, in Quan The village, Phuoc Minh commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province. The project is part of BIM Group’s strategy until 2019 to form the largest solar energy farm in Southeast Asia with a scale of over 300 MW, expected to bring annual electricity output up to 545 million kWh.
After 6 months of intensive construction, with the continuous efforts of the general contractor PCC1 and PECC2, the project of BIM Substation and 220kV solar power line has been completed and successfully energized. The completion of the project in accordance with the schedule affirms the prestige and capacity of PCC1 in the general contractor of big and key projects not only for the domestic market but also for the international market.
