GREEN ENERGY: The Key to a Sustainable future

Accompanying Vietnam on its renewable energy development journey, the Lotus Onshore Wind Power Project of PC1 Group Joint Stock Company (PC1) and RENOVA, Inc. – Japanese renewable energy developer and power producer, has been provided with green credit worth 173 million USD by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and syndicated by Export Finance Australia (EFA) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The project is certified as a “green” loan by the Climate Bond Initiative (CBI). The cluster of 3 wind power plants Lien Lap, Phong Huy, Phong Nguyen is the first and largest internationally project-financed wind power projects for Vietnam in 2021. During construction and operation, the factories have complied with international environmental and social standards, and actively contributed to supports local communities through livelihood and employment opportunities, promoted gender equality and socio-economic development in Quang Tri. International partners highly appreciate PC1’s capacity in project implementation, and in particular, IJGlobal magazine rated Lotus Onshore Wind Power Project as a typical renewable energy project in Asia in 2021.

 

With long-term development strategy, PC1 continues to concentrate resources on investing in green production technology; Renewable energy factories; Green and smart industrial parks. In clean energy production activities, PC1 cuts nearly 800 thousand tons of CO2 per year and prioritizes providing the carbon credits and increasing PC1’s value for partners and customers in the ecosystem.
