In the morning of July 31, 2019, the Groundbreaking ceremony for two projects “500kV Chon Thanh substation and Connector” and “220kV Hai Chau substation” were taken place with the participation of investors who are Central Power Management Board (belonging to National Power Transmission Corporation) and contractor PCC1.
The project “500kV Chon Thanh substation and nodal” is one of the key projects in 2019 that the Central Power Management Board and Power Construction Joint Stock Company No.1 won the Lot 12.1 (CT-W01 Lot 1) – Construction of substation. The winning bid price is VND 221.8 billion, completion time is 365 days with installation of 02 transformers of 500 / 220kV.In the first stage, install one 500/220kV – 900MVA transformer and build the distribution system of 500kV, 220kV and 110kV lines.
The investor said that this project aims to increase the power supply to meet the demand of additional load for developing Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong provinces and neighboring areas; as well as strengthening connection, improving the stability and reliability of transmission grid system in Southeast region. In addition, the project will reduce power losses, reduce some of wires and 220kV transformers existing in the area.
500kV Chon Thanh substation and 220kV and 500kV transmission lines built in Minh Thanh commune, Nha Bich commune, Chon Thanh district, Binh Phuoc province are expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2020
On the same day, PCC1 and the Central Power Management Board continued to start construction of 220kv Hai Chau substation (Da Nang) to supply and transport materials and equipment (M&E) and construction of 220kV Hai Chau substation of 220 kV Hai Chau substation project and 220 kV Hoa Khanh – Hai Chau transmission line. PCC1 together with Mavin Switchgears and Control Pvt, Ltd. (referred to as PCC1 – Mavin Partnership) won this project with the winning bid price of VND 146.3 billion dong (excluding the import tax on equipment) of which the bid package price is VND 196.257 billion – using capital source from the National Power Transmission Corporation.
