On the evening of July 20, 2022, the chairman of PC1 GROUP Trinh Van Tuan was honored to represent the Group to receive the best transactions of the year, awarded by IJGlobal Magazine in Singapore for the Lotus Wind Project – 3 wind power projects Phong Huy, Phong Nguyen, Lien Lap.
The IJGlobal Awards celebrates the best-in-class transactions and organizations across the international infrastructure and energy sectors. PC1’s IJGlobal 2022 award affirms PC1’s position as one of the pioneers in renewable energy development in Vietnam, putting its name on the map of wind power in the country and Southeast Asia. Especially, this award has given strength and confidence to PC1 to continue its goal of building wind power projects with scale and high technology in the future.
Together with PC1, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) also received the Bank of the Year Award with a $173 million renewable energy project funding to build 3 wind power projects, including: Phong Nguyen, Lien Lap, Quang Tri. Congratulations to PC1’s important strategic partner in this project. PC1 wishes to continue to cooperate and accompany green and renewable energy projects during the coming period 2024 – 2030.
ABOUT THE 3 WIND POWER PROJECTS:
Located in Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri province, the complex of 3 wind power projects of PC1 Group Joint Stock Company, including: Lien Lap, Phong Huy and Phong Nguyen wind power plants with a total capacity of 144 Megawatts has started operating from October 2021. This is the first wind power project in Vietnam to be certified by the climate bond initiative – the agency that manages the international climate bond certification and standards program. This project is also evaluated by major energy organizations around the world as one of the typical examples of international cooperation in clean energy development.
