Project overview

Investment: 50 billions dong
Time: 2020
Quantity: 100 million kWh/year

Lien Lap Wind Power Plant:

The plant is constructed on a 48-hectare land area with a total investment of over 1.973 trillion VND. The project has an operational lifespan of 50 years from the date of initial investment approval.

The project comprises 12 wind turbines with an approximate capacity of 4 MW per turbine. Additionally, a 110kV substation with a scale of 1 MBA 110/35kV 63MVA is constructed. The 110kV side is designed with a double-busbar system, including one bay connecting to the main transformer T1 and linking to the 110kV switchgear of the Huong Tan wind power plant. The 35kV side operates with a single-busbar system, including one bay connecting to the main transformer, one bay for measurement, and three feeders bays to the wind turbines.

Upon entering commercial operation, the Lien Lap Wind Power Plant will supply an average stable electricity output of 158.8 GWh per year. Due to being COD before the FIT pricing deadline, the selling price for offshore wind power will be 9.8 cents/kWh (approximately 2,223 VND), and for onshore wind power, it will be 8.5 cents/kWh (approximately 1,927 VND). Furthermore, the Lien Lap Wind Power Plant is an attractive tourist destination, contributing significantly to the economic development of Quang Tri province.

Phong Huy Wind Power Project:

The Phong Huy Wind Power Plant involves a total investment of up to 1.6 trillion VND, covering an area of 25.53 hectares, with 16.46 hectares allocated for permanent land use and 9.2 hectares for temporary use. The plant is designed with 12 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 4MW. Classified as a Grade I energy plant, it is expected to generate approximately 150.26 million kWh of electricity annually, operating for a period of 50 years.

After just over a year since groundbreaking, the project has successfully entered commercial operation, contributing significantly to the national power grid and alleviating the electricity burden on the national hydroelectric system. Additionally, the use of wind energy reduces dependency on fossil fuels, thereby contributing to environmental conservation. Notably, the Phong Huy Plant also plays a significant role in the socio-economic development of Quang Tri province.

The Phong Nguyen Wind Power Plant

The project boasts a total investment of up to 1.911 trillion VND, covering an area of 16.46 hectares allocated for permanent land use and 9.2 hectares for temporary use. It is considered a large-scale wind power plant in Quang Tri province, with both significant scope and capacity. The project incorporates the design and installation of modern European technology equipment and materials. The plant is designed with 12 wind turbines, each with a 4MW capacity.

Key components of the project include:

Underground 33 KV cable system connecting the turbines to the 33 KV power line

33 KV power line connecting to the 33/220 KV transformer station in Huong Tan

33kV distribution cabinet system serving the connection of the Phong Huy wind power project at the 33/220kV Huong Tan substation

33/220kV-1x63MVA buck–boost transformer and 220kV bay at the 33/220kV Huong Tan substation.

Control room, operations room, and equipment storage yard, turbine foundation construction, construction road combined with operation management.

Thus, after commissioning, the plant is expected to contribute 150 million kWh to the National power grid annually, bringing in billions of VND to the budget of Quang Tri province. Additionally, it plays a role in the economic and social development and ensures the well-being of the local population.
