Nickel-Copper Ore Open-Pit Mining Project

The Nickel-Copper open-pit mining project is located in Quang Trung and Ha Tri Commune, Hoa An District, Cao Bang Province by Tan Phat Minerals Joint Stock Company, a member of the PC1 Group Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of 1.700 billion VND in Phase 1. The scale involves an annual capacity of 600.000 tons of raw ore, equivalent to producing approximately 50 thousand tons of ore concentrate with a nickel content of 7.5% or higher. The Nickel-Copper ore in the Quang Trung commune area poses a challenging problem due to its low Nickel content, requiring Tan Phat to choose synchronized, advanced, and modern technology from the mining and ore selection processes to quality control of the product to maximize the recovery of national resources.

On March 16th, 2023, the ore processing plant successfully produced the first Nickel product meeting export standards, marking the success of the project.
